At the start

Two riders gone, and wind off the Channel

Peter Sagan took his second stage in three days on the ramp at Boulogne, and Fabian Cancellara is still in yellow seven seconds up on Wiggins and Chavanel. Yesterday's crashes cost the race two riders: Sky lose Kanstantsin Siutsou, a climber they will want in a fortnight, and José Joaquín Rojas abandons with a broken collarbone. Today follows the coast to Rouen — flat, unless the wind gets up off the Channel.

1. 19 km to go

   The break dies, a counter dies with it

   Arashiro, Delaplace and Moncoutié are hauled in with eight and a half kilometres left. Dumoulin, Chavanel and Poels immediately counter — Chavanel is only seven seconds off the yellow jersey — and they last a little over five kilometres.

2. 2At the line

   Lotto build it, Greipel finishes it

   Two and a half kilometres out the sprint comes apart: Cavendish, Eisel and Hunter all hit the tarmac, Sagan and Cancellara thread through it. Lotto-Belisol have four men still in a line, Henderson leads it out, and André Greipel does what he always does when he is delivered to the last two hundred metres.
