Roglič in yellow after the rest day
The Pyrenees rearranged everything. Primož Roglič has the yellow jersey, Egan Bernal is 21 seconds down, Tadej Pogačar won at Laruns and still sits seventh at 44, and Adam Yates has slid to eighth. Fabio Aru has gone home. After the rest day comes the only stage of this Tour without a single categorised climb, island-hopping from Oléron to Ré — flat, and entirely at the mercy of the Atlantic wind.

After a run of near-misses, Sam Bennett times his sprint perfectly on the Ile de Re to take a first Tour stage win and tighten his grip on the green jersey.
