At the start

A col deleted, La Plagne still there

The stage was cut short overnight — disease in a herd of cattle along the route forced the organisers to delete a col, leaving 130 kilometres and three climbs. Tadej Pogačar leads by 4:26 and the last mountain day is really about the third step: Florian Lipowitz holds it by 22 seconds from Oscar Onley, with the Col du Pré, the Cormet de Roselend and La Plagne to settle it.

   A break goes clear over the Col du Pré with Arensman, winner at Superbagnères five days ago, again to the fore.

2. 214 km to go

   Arensman attacks for La Plagne

   On the final climb to La Plagne Arensman drives clear and time-trials toward a second stage win, the GC favourites bearing down behind.

3. 32 km to go

   The favourites close

   Vingegaard and Pogačar close hard inside the final 2km but run out of road.

   Arensman holds on

   Arensman holds off the favourites by two seconds to win at La Plagne.

The result
