At the start

Bordeaux, and no more Træen

The Tourmalet gave the yellow jersey back to Pogačar, 2:42 up on Vingegaard with Del Toro third, and it took Torstein Træen's away — the Norwegian who led this race for two days does not start this morning. Cian Uijtdebroeks abandoned yesterday too. The Tour leaves the Pyrenees for 175 flat kilometres through the Landes forest to Bordeaux, where the sprinters have waited long enough.

   Green-jersey duel at Landiras

   Veistroffer leads Otruba over the intermediate sprint line from the break, but the real fight is behind: XDS Astana wind up a full lead-out for Max Kanter and still Mads Pedersen comes off the wheels to take the points that matter.

2. 2At the line

   Merlier finds the gap in Bordeaux

   Alpecin lay out the carpet for Philipsen but drop him off too early, and as he brushes shoulders with Gaviria, Merlier spots daylight on the left and launches with 200 metres left — a devastating kick, and time to dust off his shoulders before the line.
