The road
At the start
A form guide before the Pyrenees
Filippo Ganna won the time trial by more than a minute, and Sepp Kuss lost only seventeen seconds of his lead: red stays with him, 26 seconds up on Marc Soler, 1:09 on Remco Evenepoel, 1:36 on Primož Roglič and 2:22 on Jonas Vingegaard. Today is 164 kilometres from Lerma to a short wooded climb in the sierras of Soria — La Laguna Negra, 6.5 kilometres, used once before.
How it was won
- 105 km to go
The break finally forms
After a furious 60km of racing a 26-rider move at last escapes, Geraint Thomas among them, and Jumbo-Visma are happy to let it go.
- 7 km to go
Ganna's engine
On the final climb Filippo Ganna turns pure domestique, motor-pacing the chase for Thomas and spitting the weaker climbers out the back.

Laguna Negra
Jesús Herrada surges past a late attacker to win the hilltop finish through the pines as the GC men rest their legs.
