Dumoulin's Giro is over

Tom Dumoulin, who wore pink for the first week, climbed off at the feed zone yesterday with saddle sores. Bob Jungels keeps the jersey, twenty-four seconds up on Amador, with Valverde and Kruijswijk at 1:07 and Nibali at 1:09 — and after two hard days a flat run to the seaside at Bibione is the last easy afternoon anyone gets. Valerio Agnoli does not start.

   Lotto set up shop

   Oss and Maestri are caught with 22km to go on a pan-flat road to the sea, and Greipel's team take the front and simply do not leave it.

2. 2At the line

   Greipel's third, on a neutralised circuit

   With heavy rain over the technical 8km Bibione circuit the jury take GC times after the first lap so the sprinters can have the second. Roelandts leads round the final 90-degree bend and Greipel holds off a boxed-in Caleb Ewan.
