The road
At the start
The last week opens in the wet
Livigno stretched the lead to grotesque proportions — 6:41 over Geraint Thomas, 6:56 over Daniel Martínez — and the only question left is the order behind the maglia rosa. The third week opens with 207 kilometres from Livigno over the Umbrail Pass and into the Dolomites, and rain is forecast on every northern stage from here to Rome. A parking zone is planned atop the Umbrail so the riders can change clothes.

Alaphilippe alone over the Pinei
Julian Alaphilippe distances his companions on the long Passo Pinei and ploughs a lone furrow toward Santa Cristina, chasing yet another break win.

Pellizzari fights for glory
On the steep final ramps 20-year-old Giulio Pellizzari attacks for Bardiani's first Giro stage win in years, catching and passing Alaphilippe as the peloton closes in.
- At the line
Pogačar makes it five
Majka empties himself and Pogačar surges past Pellizzari with 700 metres left for a fifth stage win, extending his lead past seven minutes as Thomas cracks behind.
