At the start

A wall in the sprinters' way

Michael Valgren's win at Andalo left the general classification untouched — Vingegaard by 4:03 from Gall — but the ciclamino changed shoulders: Jhonatan Narváez took it from the breakaway and leads Paul Magnier by twelve points. Today's 171 kilometres to Pieve di Soligo look flat until the Muro di Ca' del Poggio, 1.1 kilometres at 11.3%, inside the final ten.

How it was won

  1. 14 km to go

Ineos line it out over the Muro

Netcompany Ineos string the bunch out over the Muro di Ca' del Poggio, catching the last escapees and putting even the maglia rosa front and centre.

  2. 10 km to go

    Eulálio tries his luck

The white jersey Eulálio attacks with 10km to go, but Kuss calmly sets tempo and reels him in before the summit.

  3. 8 km to go

    Hindley's kicker

Jai Hindley digs on the last little rise before the downhill run-in, opening sixteen seconds and briefly threatening to spoil the sprint.

  4. At the line

    Magnier completes the hat-trick

It all comes back together and Stuyven launches Magnier into the final turn; the young Frenchman powers to his third win of the race and reclaims the points jersey.
