Rome, and the set is complete

Jonas Vingegaard rolls out of Rome 5:22 ahead of Felix Gall and 6:25 ahead of Jai Hindley, an afternoon away from becoming a winner of all three Grand Tours. Paul Magnier holds the ciclamino, Giulio Ciccone the mountains jersey, Afonso Eulálio the white. The route runs out to Ostia and back for eight cobbled laps of the Fori Imperiali, tilting up 5% inside the last kilometre.

   Ganna's dangerous move

   On the twisting Rome circuit Ganna accelerates with 18km to go and holds twenty seconds into the final 10km, Stuyven and Sobrero marking in his wheel for their sprinters.

2. 24 km to go

   The sprint teams reclaim it

   Soudal-QuickStep burn through their men to neutralise the late moves on the technical, cobbled run-in and set up the expected dash to the line.

3. 3At the line

   Milan wins as Vingegaard is crowned

   Milan launches on the final rise 150 metres out and powers clear for a long-awaited stage win, as Jonas Vingegaard rolls in safely to complete his Grand Tour collection and win the Giro d'Italia.
