The breakaway rewrote the Giro at Potenza: Afonso Eulálio leads by 2:51 from Igor Arrieta, and Jonas Vingegaard sits more than six minutes down and content to wait. Today is a flat 141 kilometres from Paestum past Vesuvius into Naples, a fifth straight finish in the city, ending on stone slabs that tilt up at four per cent. Positioning will be everything.
