At the start
Évry to the Champs-Élysées
The last day, run into the evening again: 138 kilometres from Évry, past the Louvre, then nine laps of the Champs-Élysées. Vincenzo Nibali needs only to arrive to win the Tour de France, 7:52 clear of Jean-Christophe Péraud and 8:24 clear of Thibaut Pinot — two Frenchmen on the podium for the first time in thirty years. Peter Sagan holds green without yet winning a stage.

Péraud crashes on the way to Paris
With just over 40km left the man who has just secured second overall hits the deck. The flying field does not wait; four Ag2r teammates drop back and haul him home.

Kittel again on the Champs-Élysées
Porte holds a thread of a lead into the last lap and is caught; Clarke's brave dig is closed at 3.2km; and then the German does what he has done all July, winning on the Champs-Élysées for the second year running. Behind him Vincenzo Nibali rolls in as champion of the Tour de France, four stages and the yellow jersey from the second day in Sheffield.
