At the start

Chantilly to the Champs-Élysées

Chris Froome needs only to reach Paris upright: he is 4:05 up on Romain Bardet and 4:21 on Nairo Quintana, with Adam Yates fourth and in white, Peter Sagan's green beyond reach and Rafał Majka's polka dots settled. Today starts north of the city for the first time since 1984 — 113 kilometres from Chantilly, a fourth-category climb on the way in, and then the laps of the Champs-Élysées.

How it was won

  1. 41 km to go

    A lap for Purito

The peloton lets Joaquim Rodríguez roll off the front alone on the Champs-Élysées, a farewell to a rider retiring at the end of the season. When he sits up, the racing starts and an eight-man move goes.

  2. At the line

Greipel in Paris, Froome in yellow

Lotto Soudal finally get their timing right, and Greipel uses Kristoff as a launch pad to repeat his Champs-Élysées win. Behind, Chris Froome seals a third Tour de France, more than four minutes clear of Bardet and Quintana.
