At the start

Into Burgundy, another flat day

Marcel Kittel came from a dozen places back to win in Troyes and the general classification has not moved a second: Froome by twelve from Thomas, fourteen from Aru, 25 from Dan Martin. Today runs 214 kilometres south into wine country, climbing almost imperceptibly to the Plateau de Langres and then flat for the last fifty into Nuits-Saint-Georges. The Jura arrives tomorrow, and everyone knows it.

How it was won

  1. At the line

    Kittel edges it by millimetres

A third straight win for Kittel in Nuits-Saint-Georges, but only after the photo finish separates him from a fast-closing Edvald Boasson Hagen.
