The Worlds' wall, climbed twice
Annecy sends the race over the Salève and up the Montée de Brison, 5 kilometres at 10.2%, before it drops into Sallanches and onto world championship roads. The Côte de Domancy, 2.5 kilometres at 9.4%, the wall of the 1980 Worlds and of the 2027 ones, comes twice, with Le Bettex and the Plateau d'Assy in between. From its second crest the road falls fast to the line.
