Bastille Day, and a first for Les Saisies
Bastille Day starts uphill: the Col de la Colombière, 15.9 kilometres at 7%, straight out of Cluses. The Croix Fry and the Forclaz de Queige follow, then the Col du Pré, 12.6 kilometres at 7.8%, and last the Montée de Bisanne, 12.4 kilometres at 8.3%. Four kilometres beyond its summit, the Beaufortain resort of Les Saisies takes its first Tour finish.
