Before the race

Three times up Montmartre into Paris

From Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines the last stage reaches Paris and, for the third year running, leaves the Champs-Élysées to climb the cobbled Côte de la Butte Montmartre three times: 1 kilometre at 6.5%, the hill the 2024 Olympic road race brought into professional cycling. The last time over the top comes about ten kilometres from the line, and the race still ends on the Champs-Élysées.
