Froome's unfinished business, in Nîmes
The Vuelta starts in France with a 13.8-kilometre team time trial through Nîmes. Chris Froome arrives carrying the longest piece of unfinished business in the sport: second here in 2011, fourth in 2012, second in 2014 and second again in 2016. Nibali, Aru, Contador and Bardet have all come to stop him putting it right. Nothing is decided in fourteen kilometres — but a team can lose half a minute in them.
