At the start

Along the Cantabrian coast to Suances

Sam Bennett crossed the line first at Aguilar de Campoo and was relegated for his sprint, so Pascal Ackermann has the stage. Above them nothing changed: Carapaz in red, Roglič at thirteen seconds, Dan Martin at 28. Today heads west along the Cantabrian coast, bumping over headlands, with a climb at San Cipriano late on and a rising finish at Suances that will not suit the pure fast men.

   A reduced group closes in

   The late coastal climbs shed the pure sprinters, leaving a punchy reduced group to contest an uphill finish in Suances.

2. 22 km to go

   Roglič launches

   On the rising drag to the line Roglič surges from the front group, his sprinter's kick too much for the fast finishers who remain.

3. 3At the line

   Roglič back in red

   Roglič wins the uphill bunch sprint in Suances for his third stage of the race and reclaims the red jersey from Carapaz.
