The road
At the start
Greipel in pink, wind on the lagoons
André Greipel won in Tortolì and leads the Giro for the first time in his career, four seconds clear of Lukas Pöstlberger and eight of Caleb Ewan. The last day on Sardinia is the shortest yet, 148 kilometres south then west to Cagliari with only the Capo Boi to break it up. A strong wind is forecast across the salt lagoons, so the sprint everyone expects may not arrive with everyone in it.
