The longest day, and a crosswind
Silvan Dillier won from the break at Terme Luigiane and the overall has not moved in three days: Jungels by six seconds from Thomas, with Nibali, Quintana, Dumoulin, Yates and Pozzovivo still level at ten. Today is the longest stage of the race so far, 222 kilometres around the arch of Italy's boot to Alberobello and its trulli. Crosswinds are forecast for most of it, and the finish circles the town on narrow roads.
