At the start

Dumoulin in pink, the sprinters wait

Tom Dumoulin took the first maglia rosa in Jerusalem, two seconds up on Rohan Dennis and Victor Campenaerts, with Simon Yates already twenty back. Today runs 168 flat kilometres from Haifa down the coast to Tel Aviv, over one rise at Zikhron Ya'aqov and into a tangle of city-centre corners. The sprinters have waited a day for this, and the corners will decide who gets to use it.

How it was won

  1. 62 km to go

    Dennis grabs the bonus

At the Caesarea sprint Rohan Dennis takes a clean line along the barriers for the three-second bonus, becoming the virtual maglia rosa by a single second.

  2. At the line

Viviani wins the Tel Aviv chaos

Losing his lead-out in the tangle of city-centre corners, Elia Viviani uses his track instinct to follow Mareczko's wheel and surge past for the win.
