The road

At the start

Roglič gone, the Mortirolo waits

Primož Roglič abandoned on the road to San Valentino, his Giro ending the way too many of them have. The race has closed right up behind Isaac del Toro: Simon Yates at 26 seconds, Richard Carapaz at 31. Today is 155 kilometres to Bormio with the Mortirolo in the middle of it, and a twenty-one-year-old defending pink against two former Grand Tour winners.

1. 1125 km to go

   Break toward Bormio

   A break goes over the high climbs of the Stelvio region toward Bormio.

2. 225 km to go

   The GC group stirs

   On the final ascent the maglia rosa group comes alive with 25km to go.

3. 32 km to go

   Del Toro answers back

   Isaac del Toro answers his critics, attacking inside the final 2km to take the stage himself and reinforce his maglia rosa.

4. 4At the line

   Del Toro wins in Bormio

   Del Toro rebounds to win the stage in Bormio.
