   Green jersey skirmish at Saint-Léonard

   Quémeneur takes the intermediate sprint from the break with 46 kilometres to go, but the real racing is behind: Europcar wind it up for Coquard and Degenkolb comes past him for fourth.

2. 229 km to go

   Teklehaimanot takes the polka dots

   The last climber's point of the day, and Daniel Teklehaimanot times it perfectly, jumping away in sight of the summit. The Eritrean becomes the first African rider ever to wear the mountains jersey at the Tour de France.

3. 33 km to go

   The crash that costs Martin his jersey

   Everything is set for a sprint when Nibali, Quintana, Martin and a dozen others go down and block the road. The yellow jersey gets up with a fractured collarbone; he will not start tomorrow.

4. 4At the line

   Štybar's uphill dig in Le Havre

   On the short, punchy rise above the Normandy port Zdeněk Štybar goes alone and holds it to the line — Etixx-QuickStep's second win in three days, and no consolation at all by evening.
