  2. 28 km to go

The winning kick on the Romme

With 31km to go Alaphilippe kicks clear on the Col de Romme, leaving the maillot jaune Van Avermaet to chase and bridging up to lone leader Taaramäe.

    Clear over the Colombière

Alaphilippe drops Taaramäe as the Colombière bites and crests with two minutes in hand, buoyed by the roadside crowds.
