Bardet doesn't start, Lyon awaits

The Puy Mary rearranged the top ten: Tadej Pogačar is second now at 44 seconds, Egan Bernal has slipped to third at 59, Urán and Quintana are over a minute back. Bauke Mollema went home after the crash on the descent, and Romain Bardet, who rode the rest of that stage concussed, does not start today. Clermont-Ferrand to Lyon is downhill on paper — until two short climbs in the last twelve kilometres.

   Sunweb set the trap

   On the Cote de la Croix-Rousse above Lyon Sunweb mass at the front, poised to spring an ambush in the final kilometres as the sprinters' teams hesitate.

2. 24 km to go

   Kragh Andersen attacks

   Just over 3km from the line Soren Kragh Andersen slips away, catching the sprinters napping and time-trialling toward the finish.

   Kragh Andersen wins in Lyon

   Kragh Andersen holds off the closing bunch to give Sunweb a second stage of the race, a perfectly judged late move.
