Roglič up to third, Privas ahead

Orcières answered the question everyone had about Primož Roglič: he won on it, and he is third overall, seven seconds off Alaphilippe's yellow, with Tadej Pogačar four further back. Today the race drops out of the Alps into the Rhône valley — two small bumps and a leg-searing uphill drag to the line in Privas. Bennett and Ewan want it, and so, quietly, does the man Jumbo-Visma use as a lead-out.

   Handed his chance to sprint rather than pace Roglič, Wout van Aert comes off Cees Bol's wheel and beats the fastmen in Privas - a domestique with the finishing speed of a pure sprinter.
