Richard Carapaz took SuperDévoluy from the breakaway, and behind him Remco Evenepoel clawed ten seconds out of the yellow jersey: Pogačar now leads Jonas Vingegaard by 3:11 and Evenepoel by 5:09. Today has nothing above a category-three climb in 178 kilometres from Gap to Barcelonnette — the last soft day before Isola 2000, the Col de la Couillole and the closing time trial, and half the peloton knows it.
