A sprinters' road to Montpellier
Out of Aubenas the race leaves the Ardèche for the Gard and the Hérault, by Alès and Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers, over small hills in the first half and nothing with a number on it. The last kilometres into Montpellier are flat, to a new finish in the city centre. A sprinters' road, through country where the Mistral or the Tramontane can turn any flat day into a fight for position.
