Home soil: a lap of the Cotentin
After the crossing and a rest day the Tour lands on home soil at Cherbourg and rides a loop of the Cotentin peninsula, out along the Norman coast, where the wind has nothing to stop it, and back by Saint-Pierre-Église. The short, steep Côte du Becquet comes inside the last ten kilometres, the road drops back into the town, and the final kilometre climbs to the line.
