Before the race

Twice up the Côte de Cadoudal

From Pontorson, on the Norman side of the border, the race heads south-west into Brittany on a road with little in it for most of the day. Everything waits for Plumelec and its closing circuit: the Côte de Cadoudal, 1.7 kilometres at 6.2%, climbed twice in the last twenty kilometres, the second time to the finish line itself. A finish for sprinters who can climb, and for puncheurs who can sprint.
